The Republic of Srpska

This morning, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Željko Budimir, and Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, visited the location on Kozara Mountain where tactical exercise of the Ministry ‘Hostage situation in rural area’ was taking place.

The exercise is organised by the training Centre of the Ministry of the Interior, and the members of the Gendarmerie, Administration for Police Support, the police negotiator and police officers from Omarska Police Station also participated in the exercise.

Minister Budimir emphasized the significance of these activities in the sense of improving the readiness and the speed of efficient reaction of police officers in real situations. 

He pointed out that the exercise itself represented the final activity with which 49 police officers ended their basic training for Gendarmerie at the Training Centre, which lasted three months.
