The Republic of Srpska

 

The Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska, Mr Željko Budimir, attended a ceremony held today at the EUFOR camp base in Butmir, during which the position of EUFOR Commander was formally handed over. Major General of the Romanian Armed Forces, Florin Marian Barbu, transferred command to Major General of the Italian Armed Forces, Maurizio Frondi.

The Minister thanked the outgoing commander for the constructive and professional cooperation and wished the new EUFOR Commander, Major General Frondi, success in his future work.

He also invited the new EUFOR Commander to visit Banja Luka and the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska.

During the event, Minister Budimir attended a ceremonial parade of EUFOR personnel and military equipment.
