The Republic of Srpska

Today, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Željko Budimir, and Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, met with the management of the Zvornik Police Administration, during which they stated that the security situation on the territory under the competence of the Administration was stable -  both in crime and public peace and order. 

Minister Budimir announced that police presence on the territory under competence of the Zvornik Police Administration would be increased from today in order to prevent any possible security incidents, which would disrupt the process of repeat elections scheduled for Sunday, February 8th.

 Therefore, Minister stressed that ‘’police officers of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior will act in accordance with law and planned measures and actions’’. 

In addition, Minister Budimir said that ‘’our task is to ensure that the election process on Sunday runs without problems. We shall prevent any public and peace disturbance, which could disrupt democratic process that will happen through repeat elections’’.
