The Republic of Srpska

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Željko Budimir, and the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, met with the Director for Operations of the Southeast European Law Enforcement Center (SELEC), Mr Chavdar Georgiev.

During the meeting, the participants reviewed the activities carried out so far and the existing cooperation, noting that it should be further intensified in the future.

Minister Budimir and the SELEC Operations Director agreed that countering terrorism represents a shared security challenge.

The Minister emphasized that the Ministry of the Interior remains a professional partner committed to cooperation and the exchange of information.

A meeting between the Republic of Srpska Police Director and the SELEC Operations Director was also attended by the Chief of Police of the Brčko District, Mr Goran Pisić. Discussions focused on operational capacities and the opportunities offered by SELEC in countering trans-border organized crime.

During his visit, the SELEC Operations Director also delivered a presentation on the activities and role of the SELEC Center to students of the High School of Internal Affairs and cadets of the Police Academy of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska.
