The Republic of Srpska

Today, the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, presented a Certificate of Appreciation to the National Team for Illegal Laboratories (NTIL) of the Office for Countering Drugs, Crime Police Administration, Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia. The certificate was awarded in recognition of the extraordinary and significant contribution of the National Team for Illegal Laboratories to the implementation of specialist trainings and the strengthening of professional cooperation between police officers of the two ministries.

Based on the Agreement on Operational Cooperation between the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior and Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia, several professional trainings were implemented at the specialised training center for the detection and dismantling of illegal laboratories used for the production of psychoactive substances and precursors. These trainings were held at Training Center ‘’Mitrovo polje’’, on Goč, the Republic of Serbia. 

Members of the National Team for Illegal Laboratories (NTIL) of the Office for Countering Drugs, Crime Police Administration, Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia performed trainings for police officers of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior. The topic of the training was “Trends Related to Illegal Synthetic Drugs and Production Techniques”.

The aim of the above-mentioned trainings is to enhance the knowledge and practical skills of police officers, as well as to raise their awareness of the risks and hazards they may encounter when entering illegal laboratories. In addition, these trainings are used to inform police officers on the applicable standards, procedures, and operational methods to be applied in the field when detecting, securing, and dismantling improvised laboratories used for the production of synthetic drugs.
