The Republic of Srpska

Today, at the Training Centre in Zalužani, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Željko Budimir, awarded certificates to the Gendarmerie police officers who successfully completed the advanced training.

‘The training included alpinism, special activities’ tactics, field work, and police psychology. With the knowledge they acquired, these 59 members of the Gendarmerie are now ready to successfully complete the tasks within their units’, Minister Budimir said. 

He added that the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior Gendarmerie was a special unit with elite significance for the Ministry, the Republic of Srpska, and protection of citizens. 

Minister Budimir noted that the Ministry was continuously equipping the whole system, and added that Gendarmerie would obtain new vehicles, uniforms and a part of ballistic protection equipment. 

The event was also attended by the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević.
