The Republic of Srpska

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Željko Budimir, met with the Head of the Prijedor Territorial Fire and Rescue Unit, Mr Nebojša Miljuš, and discussed the improvement of legislative framework in the field of fire protection. 

He stated that the Ministry of the Interior would continue its close cooperation with the Firefighting Association of the Republic of Srpska and all fire and rescue units, with the full support in further strengthening of their capacities. 

The Head of Prijedor Territorial Fire and Rescue Unit, Mr Nebojša Miljuš, emphasised that the meeting was an opportunity to point out the challenges firefighters face in their daily work, with a special focus on the possibility of adopting new legal solutions that would contribute to the improvement of the protection and rescue system. 

They agreed that it was necessary to continue strengthening cooperation among all rescue services to ensure a more efficient response in emergencies and the protection of citizens and their property.
