The Republic of Srpska

Today, in Banski dvor, in Banja Luka, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, Mr Željko Budimir, and the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, attended the solemn academy of the Republic of Srpska Memorial Center. On the occasion, the activities of the Center were presented, and the largest base of the recorded testimonies of the sufferings of the Serbs on the territory of the former Yugoslavia was officially opened.

The database of the Memorial Center consists of the total number of 1,500 recorded testimonies and it is one of the most significant national projects in the field of maintaining the culture of memory, whose significance exceeds the frames of the Republic of Srpska and represents the permanent contribution to the preservation of historical truth, ethnic identity and collective memory of the Serbs.
