The Republic of Srpska

Officers of the Mounted Unit and K9 Unit of the Gendarmerie of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska successfully completed a regional K9 certification course held in the Republic of North Macedonia.

The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior participated in the course with two service dogs trained in the detection of explosives, weapons, ammunition, and narcotic drugs.

The course was organized by the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina and was held from June 20 to 27, 2026.

Upon completion of the course, the officers were successfully certified as specialized K9 handlers for the detection of explosives, weapons, ammunition, and narcotic drugs.
