MINISTER BUDIMIR MET WITH THE UNION REPRESENTATIVES

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Željko Budimir, held a meeting today with the President of the Union of Employees of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska, Mr Nebojša Prodanović.  They discussed the activities implemented by the Ministry with the aim of improving positions of the employees and further strengthening the capacities of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior. 

In addition, they discussed a five percent salary increase for employees of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior starting from August 1, which represents a continuation of activities aimed at improving the financial position of the members of the Ministry. 

One of the topics of the meeting was the adoption of the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Police and Internal Affairs, which enables all retired police officers to have a retroactive right to a new pension calculation in accordance with the 2019 Law. According to this Law, personal pension coefficient is determined based on the five most favoruable years of earnings. Minister Budimir and the President of the Union of Employees of Internal Affairs expressed their commitment to continuing an open social dialogue and partnership, in order to preserve the stability of the system through join action and further strengthen the efficiency of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior.
