The Republic of Srpska

In cooperation with the members of the Federal Police Administration, police officers from Istočno Sarajevo Police Administration arrested a J.T.L, a citizen of Ireland, suspected of the commission of the criminal offence ‘Illegal Trafficking in Narcotics’ from Article 195 of BIH Criminal Code. 

Through their operational work and information exchange, the police officers were informed that the person submitted packages at Istočno Sarajevo Post Office. There was suspicion that the packages contained large amount of medicines from the BIH List of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, precursors and plants from which narcotic drugs can be derived, and these were intended for international market. 

The police officers found the aforementioned packages and seized them, and it was confirmed that they contained the total number of 21,189 tablets. 

All the implemented activities were supervised by the Prosecutor’s Office of BIH.
