As a result of joint activities of Gradiška Police Administration, the Republic of Croatia Ministry of the Interior and the Border Police of BIH near Bistrica village near Gradiška, more than 120 migrants were found. Thus, they were prevented from crossing the border illegally. 

Head of Gradiška PA, Mr Slobodan Torbica, said that the police officers of Gradiška PA were searching the neighbouring village Orahova based on suspicion that about 20 migrants were hiding there.

‘This is the result of increased activities related to prevention of illegal migration. The detected migrants were handed over to the Border Police of BIH for further proceedings, whereas two persons suspected of organizing the transport for the migrants were banished from the territory of BIH’, Mr Torbica said. 

He pointed out that he expected results regarding this issue, and reminded that, according to the Decision of the Republic of Srpska Government, it is not allowed to establish camps for migrants on the territory of the Republic of Srpska.
