The Republic of Srpska

At the meeting of the Headquarters for Security Action of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior ‘’Elections 2026’’, it was assessed that the security situation was satisfactory on the territory of the Republic of Srpska. The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior would undertake all necessary measures and actions from its competence in order to ensure a satisfactory security situation for holding General Elections in BiH. 

Furthermore, the security situation on the territory of the Republic of Srpska was assessed at the meeting, and all security aspects relevant to the smooth running of election process were reviewed, in order for enable citizens of the Republic of Srpska to exercise their voting rights in uninterrupted and safe manner. 

The Chief of the Headquarters, the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, reiterated that the special attention would be dedicated to securing all voting locations, protecting election material, and preventing the disturbance of public peace and order, as well as preventing and solving all forms of crime and other illegal actions which could jeopardize the secure development of the election process. 

The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior invites all citizens to report any information regarding vote abuse or any other illegal activities related to the election process to the police station or prosecutor’s office.
