The Republic of Srpska

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Željko Budimir, and the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, visited today the Gendarmerie of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, which has been given a more important role within the Ministry’s organizational structure following recent changes that established it as a primary organizational unit.

During the visit, Minister Budimir and Director Kostrešević presented part of the newly acquired equipment to the Gendarmerie and announced further investments in material and technical resources to support its operations.

Given that the RS MoI Gendarmerie performs complex tasks that refer to safeguarding the security of citizens and their property, as well as providing assistance to other organizational units within the Ministry, the new organizational upgrade is expected to significantly enhance the quality of work and operational efficiency across the entire territory of the Republic of Srpska.
