THREE REPORTS OF MISSING CHILDREN THIS YEAR – ALL OF THEM WERE FOUND AND RETURNED HOME

On the occasion of 25 May - International Missing Children's Day, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior is reminding of their dedication to the protection of children and fast and coordinated operations in cases of missing children. 

This year, there were three reports of minors who went missing, and all these cases were solved and children were found.

Last year, there were 26 reports on the missing children – and all these cases were successfully solved as well, and children returned home safe and sound. 

The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior continues to implement the activities related to prevention and fast response through the following activities:

- fast activation of searches and coordination with local police units,

- coordination with social welfare centres, schools and NGOs,

- application of modern technologies and information exchange systems,

- education for parents, children and wider public on the prevention and security measures.

The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior is a member of the international organization Amber Alert Europe whose goal is saving the lives of missing children. In addition to being a member of this organization, Crime Police Administration of the Republic of Srpska is a part of the Network of Police Experts in the field of missing children, acting within Amber Alert.
