Today, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Željko Budimir, officially presented 20 new 'Skoda Octavia' passenger motor vehicles, to the Banja Luka Police Administration, with the aim of improving the work of police officers in the field and increasing efficiency in performing daily duties and tasks. 

On behalf of the Banja Luka Police Administration, the Head of the Administration, Mr Đurica Vukelić, officially received vehicles and expressed his gratitude to the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior for its continuous support in strengthening the material and technical capacities of the police. 

The Minister emphasised that the modernisation of the vehicle fleet was one of the priorities of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, and that the new vehicles would significantly contribute to improved mobility of police officers, faster field response, and more effective citizen security.

"We are starting to fulfil the promises we made. This is the first contingent of vehicles, and we expect the successive delivery of 570 vehicles for the needs of the Ministry of the Interior by September. These vehicles are urgently required by police officers and will certainly contribute to improving police work in the field," Minister Budimir said. By procuring new official vehicles, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior continues its activities on strengthening the capacities of police administrations across the Republic of Srpska, with the aim of raising the level of security and protection of all citizens.
