The Republic of Srpska

Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska, Mr Željko Budimir met today with the representatives of the Firefighters’ Association of the Republic of Srpska to discuss the current security situation, with particular focus on the situation at fire sites in Herzegovina, as well as the situation in other areas of the Republic of Srpska. 

The meeting also addressed the functioning of the fire protection system, the engagement of the competent services, as well as the measures and activities that need to be undertaken to further improve the system, ensure a more effective response to fires, and protect the lives and property of the citizens.

The participants assessed the cooperation between the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska and the Firefighters’ Association of the Republic of Srpska as good and successful, and expressed their readiness to continue joint activities aimed at improving the fire protection system and strengthening capacities for emergency response.
