The Republic of Srpska

Members of the Gendarmerie Unit of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior visited the National Training Centre for Gendarmerie Forces in Saint- Astier, Republic of France.

During their five-day visit to this Centre, members of the Gendarmerie Unit familiarised themselves with tactics for restoring disrupted public peace and order in urban and rural areas. In addition, they were informed about the legal framework for the use of force, the apprehension of dangerous protesters, reaction to gunfire, barricade removal, the use of chemical agents, securing dangerous transport, the use of armoured vehicles in riot control, as well as the use of water cannons. 

This activity was implemented in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of France to BiH, specifically through the Office of the Liaison Officer.
