Today, on the occasion of marking its tenth anniversary, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Željko Budimir, awarded the Police Silver Badge to the Training Centre. This is a special recognition for its work so far and its contribution to professional training and development of training of police officers.

Minister Budimir pointed out that the Training Centre was one of the most significant capacities of the Ministry, having played a key role in education and training police officers over the past decade.

‘’In the last ten years, around 7,000 members have passed through the Ministry of the Interior, and a large part of that process took place right here. This is the heartbeat of the Ministry, and it will remain so in the future. The Training Centre is a place where we shape new generations of our members and prepare them for the responsible and complex jobs in front of them,” Minister Budimir said.

‘’Today we can be proud of our members, especially the young people who are coming in, but also of what we have achieved regarding new weaponry, equipment, and conditions for their work and training. None of this would be possible without the support of the Republic of Srpska Government,” he emphasized.

The Head of the Training Centre, Mr Vedran Simić, stated that in addition to training for members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, this institution also provided trainings for police officers from other law enforcement agencies.

‘’From day one, we have had the same goal – to create a police officer who is ready to respond to every task and challenge,” he said.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Government, Mr Savo Minić, congratulated everyone who participated in the establishment of the Centre and stated that all citizens of Srpska could sleep peacefully.

‘’We have no organised gangs or those who spread terror. Our members are the one who provide security to the citizens, as well as the protection of their property and lives’’, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Government said.
