MINISTER LUKAČ HELD AN EMERGENCY PRESS CONFERENCE

Today, in Banja Luka, Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska, Mr. Dragan Lukač, held an emergency press conference regarding the attack on the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Mr. Aleksandar Vučić, at the commemorative gathering in the village of Potočari.
Minister Lukač informed the public that more than 1 200 police officers of the Republic of Srpska were engaged in securing the route, gathering and commemoration in Srebrenica, and that Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina secured the cemetery in Potočari. After the delegation of the Republic of Serbia was successfully evacuated from the venue where the incident had happened, Minister Lukač confirmed that security was provided for them on their way to a border crossing with Serbia.
He pointed out that the investigation on this incident would be conducted in accordance with the competence of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior.
Additionally, Minister Lukač said that the Police of the Republic of Srpska provided assistance to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia at the Police Station Srebrenica, who, after that, left Srebrenica with his delegation unobstructed.
