MINISTER LUKAČ SIGNED A MEMORANDUM DURING THE OFFICIAL VISIT TO THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Within his visit to the Russian Federation which lasted for several days, Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska, Mr. Dragan Lukač, met with the Deputy Minister of the Interior of the Russian Federation and the Secretary General of the Ministry, Mr. Igor Zubov.

At the meeting, future cooperation was discussed, especially in the field of countering terrorism, special police force trainings as well as the cooperation in the field of crime police. The participants exchanged opinions on the security situation at global level and on the latest security trends regarding the current migrations from the Middle East.

Deputy Minister, Mr. Zubov, offered cooperation and support to the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior in the broadest sense, notably through future trainings, mutual visits and experience exchange.

During his visit to the Russian Federation, in Moscow, Minister Lukač signed the Memorandum of understanding between the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior and the Central Administration of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation for the City of Moscow.

The memorandum is an expression of the need recognized by both parties for closer cooperation and realization of direct contact in the field of countering transnational crime and most serious forms of criminal offences with the aim of achieving a more efficient way to realize the rights and freedoms of the citizens of the Republic of Srpska and the Russian Federation.

By signing this contract, both parties also expressed their readiness to implement joint trainings and specialization in different professional activities as well as the mobility of staff.

Additionally, Minister Lukač held several meetings at the Central Administration of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation for the City of Moscow, and visited security equipment fair ‘Interpolitex 2015’.
