UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AND REPRESENTATIVES OF THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR VISIT PATRIARCHY

Yesterday, at the headquarters of the Patriarchy in Belgrade, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Mr Irinej received a group of university students of Higher School of the Interior and representatives of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior.

The Serbian Patriarch Irinej welcomed the students of Higher School of the Interior and emphasized the importance of their education and future vocation for the security of the Republic of Srpska.

Patriarch stressed that the task of the students would be to combat evil and encourage those who do well to themselves and their nation, and that, above all, one should always bear in mind the best interests of their country and nation.

The Head of the Administration for Police Education Professor Mile Šikmanbestowed a Police Emblem of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior with inscription to the Patriarchand said it was his pleasure to participate in this unique visit.

On this occasion, the university students and members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior also visited the Museum of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Cathedral Church (of St. Michael the Archangel) in Belgrade, Military Museum on Kalemegdan and Rakovica Monastery where the grave of Patriarch of Serbia Pavle is located.

This pilgrimage was organised in the assistance with deputy archpriest Mr Vasa J. Popović from the city of Bijeljina and“Dobročinstvo”,  a Serbian Orthodox Church travel agency from Belgrade, specialised in pilgrimage.
