DUAL RADAR – VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL WITHOUT STOPPING TRAFFIC PARTICIPANTS

From 4 till 6 December 2015, with the aim of improving traffic safety in the Republic of Srpska, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior is going to realize the action called: ’’Increased control of traffic participants’’, putting special emphasis on controlling the speed of a vehicle and whether a vehicle is driven under the influence of alcohol.

In the realization of this action, dual radar which works on automatic mode is going to be used, namely the one which registers minor offences of exceeding the speed limit, without police officers who measure the speed and stop a vehicle. 

During December 2014, on the roads of the Republic of Srpska, 816 traffic accidents were registered. In these traffic accidents, 15 persons died, 48 persons suffered serious injuries and 206 persons suffered minor injuries.

The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior urges all traffic participants to behave responsibly and follow traffic regulations, thus protecting themselves and other participants in traffic.
