AWARDING CERTIFICATES TO THE TRAINEES OF THE TRAINING FOR USING CODIS SOFTWARE AND DONATION OF THE SOFTWARE

On 26 June 2015, at 9 a.m., the Ministry of the Interior is going to organize a ceremony for awarding certificates to the trainees of the training for using CODIS (Combined DNA Index System) software and the donation of the software itself.
CODIS software is used for storing DNA profiles which can be searched for the purpose of identifying suspects in crime investigations.
The software is donated by the FBI at the initiative of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior in cooperation with ICITAP programme in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On this occasion, certificates are going to be awarded to the members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior who were trained from 22 to 26 June and who will be using this software.
Statements for the media will be provided at 09:30 a.m. at the Administration for police education of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska (10A Bulevar Živojina Mišića Street). Media representatives will be addressed by the Director of the Republic of Srpska Police, Mr. Gojko Vasić, and chief of ICITAP, Mr. Charles Benett.
