THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR DELEGATION ATTENDED THE RECEPTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA PRESIDENT ON THE OCCASION OF MARKING JANUARY 9 – THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA DAY

      On the occasion of marking of the 9th of January – the Republic of Srpska Day, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior delegation attended the reception hosted by the Republic of Srpska President, Ms. Željka Cvijanović, for the representatives of the legislative and executive authority, judicial bodies, veterans organisations, and academic community.
      The President Cvijanović said that the Republic of Srpska was stable and that its institutions worked for its citizens, stressing that without togetherness there would be no good results.
        She also noted that the priority was to maintain peace, without which there was no stable progress and proper functioning of the institutions, and that there was no room for disrespect of the Republic of Srpska institutions, for whose defence many gave their lives during the Defence and Homeland War.
The President said that many challenges and threats would continue to exist in BiH, but that Srpska has to adapt and respond readily.
        The reception was attended by the delegations of the National Assembly, Council of Peoples of the Republic of Srpska, and the Republic of Srpska Government, the representatives of the Republic of Srpska at joint institutions at the BIH level and Council of Ministers, then the representatives of the Constitutional Court and judicial bodies of the Republic of Srpska, the Serb representatives of the Ministry of Defence in the Council of Ministers, representatives of the Academy of Science and Arts, organizations and associations arising from the Defence and Homeland  War, political parties, and Association ‘’Founders of the Republic of Srpska’’.
      In addition to the President Cvijanović who hosted the reception, the event was attended by the Serb member of the Presidency BIH, Mr. Milorad Dodik, and the Prime Minister, Mr. Radovan Višković.
      On this occasion, the President congratulated the quests and citizens on the upcoming holidays.
