NEW BUIDLINGS OF ISTOCNA ILIDZA POLICE STATION AND TREBEVIC POLICE STATION DEPARTMENT

    The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukac, the Republic of Srpska Prime Minister, Mr Radovan Viskovic, and Istocna Ilidza Municipal Mayor, Mr Marinko Bozovic, opened today the new building of the Istocna Ilidza Police Station.
     Minister Lukac stated this was one of the rare municipalities in the Republic of Srpska that did not have its own police station, and that its construction was financed by the Republic of Srpska Government in the amount of BAM 877.000, with the purpose of improving the security situation not only on the territory of that municipality, but of entire City of Istocno Sarajevo as well, including its citizens and the tourists visiting this city.
      Prime Minister Viskovic said that the Republic of Srpska and the competent Ministry, with the assistance of the local community, provided the premises, with the surface of 350 m2, and the necessary equipment. He added this was a very important project since the municipality of Istocna Ilidza is located at the inter-entity border.
      Earlier that day, Minister Lukac and the Municipal Mayor of Istocni Grad, opened the premises of the Trebevic Police Station Department. He stated that after the municipal mayor insisted, the Ministry managed to enable the opening of this police station department, which currently employs ten police officers.
     The Minister said that the majority of the resources for opening this facility were provided by the Istocni Stari Grad municipality, in which are also located doctor’s office and municipal administration office.
