THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR PARTICIPATED IN ORGANISING CONFERENCE ‘’MIGRATION: GLOBAL AND REGIONAL PERSPECTIVES’’

The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior provided support to the George C. Marshall Centre - European Centre for Security Studies from the Federal Republic of Germany in organizing a regional conference on ″ Migration: Global and Regional Perspectives ″, held today in Banja Luka.
The aim of this Conference was to exchange experience and perspectives on migration as one of major security challenges both in the region and world, and also to present activities of the George C. Marshall Centre, as well as to promote cooperation with local experts in various fields.
The Conference attended 60 representatives from different institutions and international organizations in the field of security, academic community, and non-governmental sectors, and, in addition to the representatives of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, these representatives were: representatives of Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska, Ministry of the Interior of FBiH, Ministry of the Interior of Canton of Sarajevo, Brčko District Police BIH, State Investigation and Protection Agency, BiH Border Police, BiH Service for Foreigners' Affairs, BiH Parliamentary Assembly, BiH Ministry of Security, BiH Ministry of Defence, BiH Armed Force, the USA Embassy to BiH, OSCE Mission to BiH, EUFOR, the University of Zagreb, and Faculty of Political Science, University of Banja Luka, the United Women Foundation Banja Luka, and other organizations.
