FOUNDATION STONE LAID FOR A NEW POLICE ACADEMY FACILITY

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Government, Mr Radovan Višković, the Republic of Srpska President, Ms Željka Cvijanović, and the Serb member of BiH Presidency, Mr Milorad Dodik, laid the foundation stone for the new boarding facility of the Police Academy today at the Training Centre of the Ministry of the Interior in Zalužani.

Minister Lukač said that this facility would be built on about 10,000 square meters, and that quality training would be provided for next generations of police officers. The Minister expressed his gratitude to the management of the Republic of Sprska, which recognized the importance of improving training conditions of police officers, who would represent the future of keeping security in the Republic of Srpska.

Prime Minister Višković stated that more than 100 million BAM had been invested in the Ministry of Interior in the last five years, starting from reconstruction and building of police stations to purchasing of equipment, weapons and other items necessary for this Ministry, considering the fact that the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior was the only security agency of the Republic of Srpska and its citizens.

President Željka Cvijanović said that the complex in Zalužani represented everything that the Republic of Srpska Police needed for quality training.

 A new road that connects the main road Klašnice 2–Šargovac with the facility in Zalužani was officially opened before the laying of the foundation stone.
