Today, in Banja Luka, the head of the Crime Police Administration of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, Mr Darko Kovrlija, together with the representatives of the Safer Internet Center, managed by International forum of solidarity – EMMAUS, signed the Protocol on cooperation in cases of violence against children and youth in digital environment.

The Protocol was signed with the aim of strengthening mutual cooperation with the aim of protecting children from every form of violence, abuse or neglect, and it defines the relations between the parties that signed it.

For several years now, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior has been implementing planned activities that prevent violence against the youngest users of internet and social networks. For that purpose, cooperation was established primarily with educational institutions and NGOs on the whole territory of the Republic of Srpska. It is through these activities that students in primary and secondary schools are introduced to responsible and appropriate behaviour in digital environment, and how to protect their personal information and contents from being abused by other users online. Additionally, numerous activities of the Ministry were directed towards detecting and sanctioning the perpetrators of criminal offences committed via internet against the gender integrity of a child.
