CONTRACTS FOR THE MEMBERS OF 22ND POLICE ACADEMY CLASS AND 8TH SAU CLASS

Today, by signing contracts with 350 new cadets of 22nd class of the Police Academy and 8th class of SAU, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior marked the beginning of training at the Training Centre with the ceremony attended by the highest officials of the Republic.

The event was attended by the President of the Republic of Srpska, Ms Željka Cvijanović, the Prime Minister, Mr Radovan Višković, the Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, etc.

The President Cvijanović addressed the cadets and wished them success in their education and to become the members of the Ministry of the Interior who were going to protect the safety of the Republic of Srpska and their citizens, as well as the constitutional order.

‘This is a great day for the Republic of Srpska, important for our lives and security. These, however, depend on the efficiency of the Ministry of the Interior. The Republic of Srpska has respectable police, and by strengthening its capacities and creating better work and education conditions for the members of the Ministry, we are also strengthening our Republic. We can be proud of the Training Centre since now its education conditions are at a high level’, the President said.

The Prime Minister Višković said that the cadets are already successful by being among the 350 who were selected as the best out of 1,700 candidates.

‘I would like you to become members of the Ministry and never to disgrace this uniform. You have chosen an honest vocation’, Mr Višković said.

He added that maintaining the security of the citizens of the Republic of Srpska was important and wished to all the cadets to successfully face all the current challenges, such COVID-19 pandemic, migrant crisis, etc.

Minister Lukač pointed out that the total value of the investments in new education facilities and contents at the Training Centre was BAM 4.5 million, and that the aim of all the investments was educating excellent personnel for the Ministry.

‘We would like to educate dedicated police officers who are going to maintain the security of the Republic of Srpska and its citizens’, Minister Lukač said.
