THE PRESIDENT, THE PRIME MINISTER AND MINISTER LUKAČ OPENED THE SPORTS CENTER AND A NEW SHOOTING RANGE AT THE TRAINING CENTRE

Today, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, together with the President of the Republic of Srpska, Ms Željka Cvijanović, and the Prime Minister, Mr Radovan Višković, opened the Sports Centre and the new, modern shooting range of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior. After that, they observed the new contents at the Training Centre – sports fields, ranges for infantry and specialist training, outdoor gyms, and facilities for the accommodation of service dogs and horses.

The President of the Republic of Srpska, Ms Cvijanović, said that, with new contents opened that day, the Training Centre had become a whole the Republic of Srpska should be proud of.

‘We proudly observe all the contents of the Centre, since it is all for the employees who wish to perform their activities professionally, thus being true patriots. The members of the Ministry of the Interior are true patriots and professionals, and we appreciate everything they are doing nowadays. It is our obligation to create better work conditions for them’, the President said.

She reminded that the authorities of the Republic of Srpska, upon recognizing the importance of the importance of the Ministry and the Training Centre, had invested significant amount of funds over the previous few years with the aim of improving work conditions so finally, the Training Centre is up to date.

The Prime Minister Višković said that the new contents at the Training Centre would provide training for the cadets who can continue their training at high professional level in conditions that exist in developed countries.

‘We understand the significance of the Ministry of the Interior and its members in the mission to maintain security and stability of the Republic of Srpska. This is why we invest not only in human resources, but also in the necessary contents, and we shall continue to do so in future’, Mr Višković said.

Minister Lukač reminded that total amount of BAM 4.5 million was invested in the opening of new facilities at the Training Centre.

‘In future, at the Training Centre, our Special Anti-terrorist Unit, Gendarmerie Unit and other police units are going to have the possibility of going through various types of trainings, from physical to tactical and firearms trainings. This is what makes this Centre unique in the whole region’, Minister Lukač said.

He thanked everybody who recognised the needs of the Ministry of the Interior, Serbian member of the Presidency, Mr Milorad Dodik, the President of the Republic of Srpska, Ms Željka Cvijanović and the Prime Minister, Mr Radovan Višković.

‘They supported the Ministry of the Interior because they know that it guarantees security for all citizens as well as the existence and progress of the Republic of Srpska’, Minister Lukač said.
