| Doboj | Wednesday, 17/02/2021
The Republic of Srpska Interior Minister Dragan Lukač visited the town of Doboj on Wednesday February 17 2020, where he discussed with Doboj Police Administration Chief Slobodan Radinković and Doboj Mayor Boris Jerinić the safe holding of repeated elections scheduled for February 21.
Minister Lukac stated that he and Doboj Police Administration Chief Radinković had agreed on how police officers would work and ensure repeated elections and that steps had been taken to guarantee that the repeated electoral process would run safely and added that police officers would be involved in the obtaining and security of voting materials, polling stations, as well as all events during the day of repeated elections in Doboj.
Minister Lukač urged those arriving in Doboj from other local communities on the day of repeated elections not to make incidents and announced that police officers would act in that case.
"I am sure that it is not in the people of Doboj's interest to make any incidents as well," Minister Lukač said after talks with Doboj Mayor Boris Jerinić, reminding that during November 15 elections police officers did not receive a report that would result in a misdemeanor or a criminal offence.
Minister Lukac urged voters to exercise their civil rights in a peaceful and dignified manner.
Doboj Mayor Boris Jerinic stated that security comes first because it is necessary to live and work even after repeated elections. He thanked Minister Lukač for the fact that police officers would be at the height of the task of preserving public order and peace and that no one's security would be in question.
Jerinić announced the continuation of joint projects with the Republic of Srpska Interior Ministry to improve police working conditions in Doboj.
