MARKING OF INTERNATIONAL DAY OF REMEMBERANCE FOR POLICE OFFICERS WHO DIED IN THE LINE OF DUTY

The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior on the occasion of March 7th - International Day of Remembrance paid a tribute for police officers who died in the line of duty, remembering their sacrifice and courage.
On that occasion, a minute of silence by the cadets of the 22nd Class of Police Academy and 8th Class of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit was held in order to paid tribute to the 782 members of the RS Ministry of the Interior killed in war and the police officers who died while performing their duties during regular interventions in order to protect citizens
Representatives of the Prijedor and Zvornik Police Departments laid flowers at the grave of police officer Slađenko Tubin in Prijedor and at the scene of death of policeman Dragan Đurić in Zvornik, who were killed while performing their duties.
We are reminded that police officer Slađenko Tubin was killed in April 2019 while intervening in a domestic violence case and police officer Dragan Đurić was killed in April 2015 during terrorist attack on the Zvornik Police Station.
The memory of our colleagues who died while professionally and courageously performing their tasks will be preserved. We will never forget their sacrifice, nor the sacrifice of those who gave their lives in the war.
