AGREEMENT OF COOPERATION BETWEEN THE MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR AND CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS

The Republic of Srpska Police Director Siniša Kostreševic and representatives of several citizens' associations signed a co-operation agreement today in Banja Luka between the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior and civil society organizations which aims to boost co-ordination and co-operation towards strengthening youth protection from online abuse.
The agreement plans to create, promote and use the Android app and provide counseling and other support to young people who are or may be subjected to online abuse.
The agreement was signed today by representatives of the citizens' associations "Zdravo da ste", "Victoria" and "New Generation – Blue Phone", and in the coming period this document will be signed by the Youth Development Institute "Perpetum mobile", Youth Development Center "Proni", Foundation "Agora", Citizens' Association "C.E.Z.A.R", Youth Center Bijeljina, Youth Organization "Young Activists – Kneževo", Youth Organization "Centar", Citizens' Association "Youth Center Petar Kočić", Citizens' Association "Most" and other organizations that act in the field of youth support and who, after signing and entering into force of this Agreement, may join the aforementioned Agreement.
This activity is a continuation of the long-standing efforts of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior to show school-age children the dangers lurking in cyberspace and in co-operation with parents and teachers, protect them from the various dangers that cyberspace poses.
The development of the Agreement and the Android application of the Interior Ministry was implemented through technical support by the European Union under the project "EU4CivilSociety" .
