REPORT AGAINST THREE PERSONS AS PART OF THE INTERNATIONAL OPERATION “CAT”

The Administration for Countering Terrorism and Extremism of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior in co-operation with the Police of the Republic of Austria, and under the supervision of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, conducted an operational action code-named "Cat" due to the existence of suspicion that a criminal offence  "Organised Crime" related to the criminal offence "Unauthorized trade in weapons and military equipment and dual use products" and "Unauthorized Trade in Drugs" has been committed by several persons.

In the area of the Republic of Austria  police officers detained one person in the previous period, while yesterday, May 11 2021, police officers of the Administration for Countering Terrorism and Extremism acted on the orders of the Court of BiH and conducted searches at two locations in the Banja Luka area used by a suspect D.M..

As part of the "Cat" operation, four (4) kilograms of NITROPENTA (PENT) explosives were found and temporarily confiscated, 10 meters of sticks, eight pieces of electrical lighters and four electrical sabotage lighters, a certain amount of intoxication drug cocaine, green plant matter that looks like intoxication drug "marijuana", pistol and rifle ammunition of different calibers, and other items that can be used as evidence in further criminal proceedings against suspects.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office will be presented with a report on the aforementioned crimes committed by the three individuals.

The Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior was supported by the IPA 2019 project "Fighting Serious Crime in the Western Balkans" in implementing the operational action "Cat".
