EXPERT BALLISTICS TRAINING FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE RS MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR

Members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior are participating in three days of training for the use of a ballistic system for automatic identification of shells and grains - EVOFINDER, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of France in BiH, in co-operation and with the support of SCANBI and the Embassy of the Republic of France in the Republic of Serbia.
Evofinder is a device for scanning digital photographs of bullets and shells in 2 D and 3 D format, which then performs testing, comparison and correlational searches in existing databases, and provides high-quality bullet recording, including those very deformed.
The training is the result of co-operation between the RS Ministry of the Interior and the French Embassy in BiH, especially in the area of fighting terrorism and organized crime, with a particular emphasis on the trafficking of illegal weapons and forensics.
