MINISTER LUKAČ OPENED A JUDO CAMP DEDICATED TO STEVAN MARKOVIĆ

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior Dragan Lukač today opened a newly built judo camp in the hometown of Stevan Markovic - Pljeva near Šipovo, dedicated in his honor. Stevan Markovic, as a member of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior died 29 years ago in the defense - homeland war.

Minister Lukač expressed honor and satisfaction that he had opened this facility, named after the policeman who gave his life in the defense - homeland war.

"This suggests that good things can be initiated in a small town, and certainly the best thing is when children are handed something for use that will contribute to their development and their stay in this place and in Republic of Srpska," Minister Lukač said.

The Head of the Šipovo Municipality Milan Kovač, pointed out that this is a very important facility from the point of view of judo and martial arts.

The facility is made in beautiful nature and I think it is unique in Republic of Srpska. We also have a judo club bearing Marković's name and we organize tournaments in his honor, Kovač said.

Today, the judo competition is being held in Šipovo, with participation of 120 competitors from Republic of Srpska and the region.
