| Banja Luka | Tuesday, 29/06/2021
The Police Orchestra of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior and the Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia "Stanislav Binički" in a magnificent atmosphere in front of about 700 citizens at Banja Luka's Krajina Square, on the great Orthodox holiday Vidovdan, held a joint concert under the slogan "Great in heart...".
The concert, held under the auspices of the President of Republic of Srpska, began with the anthems of Republic of Srpska "Moja Republika" and the Republic of Serbia "Bože pravde", followed by a performance of several marches, patriotic, classical and film musical compositions, domestic and world popular hits.
Police Orchestra conductor Dušan Pokrajčić said that for the Police Orchestra of the Republic of Srpska Interior Ministry this co-operation with an ensemble such as "Stanislav Binički" is very significant, because the Orchestra of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior is very young and has been around for three and a half years. From the beginning, the co-operation made sense. They sent us notes, gave us recommendations, arrangements and so on, and we had joint performances," Pokrajčić added.
The Head of the Art Ensemble "Stanislav Binički" Major Nikola Živković announced intensified co-operation.
"The situation with the corona virus slightly derailed our plans, but this has been a wonderful opportunity to mark such a great holiday of Vidovdan together. The idea came from here and we designed a program consisting of a wide repertoire collage -- from national to international compositions," Major Živković said.
The concert was attended by the Republic of Srpska Interior Minister Dragan Lukač, the Republic of Srpska President Željka Cvijanović, Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija, Minister of Health and Social Welfare Alen Šeranić, Transport and Communicatios Minister Nedeljko Ćorić and General Director of the RS University-Clinical Centre Vlado Đajić.
