| Banja Luka | Thursday, 22/07/2021

The Republic of Srpska Police Director Siniša Kostrešević visited today members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior who were vaccinated at the Republic of Srpska Institute of Public Health in Banja Luka.

Director Kostrešević said that 1,870 members of the Republic of Srpska Interior Ministry have been vaccinated so far, but that this is not a definitive number, as a good portion of them have been vaccinated in Serbia.

"Another 1,000 members have been registered for vaccination. The best way to enter the period of autumn and winter as peacefully as possible is to achieve as much immunization as possible, and the only current possible way to do that is the vaccination process," director Kostrešević concluded.

He thanked the Republic of Srpska Institute of Public Health Director Branislav Zeljković and his staff for their outstanding co-operation with the Republic of Srpska police during the pandemic.

Director Kostrešević stated that he had been vaccinated against the corona virus as far back as March, and that his entire cabinet staff had been vaccinated, and urged other colleagues and citizens to respond as much as possible to the process.

The Republic of Srpska Institute of Public Health Director Branislav Zeljković said the Institute continues the vaccination process, primarily in institutions of public importance such as the Republic Srpska Interior Ministry.

"We are pleased to vaccinate our colleagues from the RS Ministry of the Interior and we aim to include as many colleagues from this institution as possible because our goal is to welcome the autumn as peacefully as possible, as far as the epidemiological situation is concerned," Zeljković said.

He noted that during the week, the number of 1,000 vaccinated members of the RS Interior Ministry in the Banja Luka region will be reached, adding that there are additional members of the Ministry to be vaccinated throughout the Republic of Srpska.
