CELEBRATION OF THE DOBOJ PATRON SAINT, THE TRANSFORMATION OF THE LORD, WITH A VISIT BY THE SERBIAN PATRIARCH PROFIRIJE AND THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA OFFICIALS, PASSED WITHOUT A SINGLE INCIDENT

Police officers of the Doboj Police Administration, together with the officers from other administrations of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior on August 18-19 2021 successfully secured the celebration of the Doboj patron saint, the Transformation of the Lord, during a visit of His Holiness the Patriarch of Serbia Porfirije.
This event, which is of great importance to the city of Doboj and Republic of Srpska, went without incident.
This is the first visit by Serbian Patriarch to the city of Doboj in 83 years. It was attended by about 8,000 citizens on one of the biggest events in the area, where the RS Ministry of the Interior police officers once again demonstrated professionalism in doing police work.
The celebration of the city's patron saint, together with numerous believers from all parts of the Republic of Srpska, was attended by the RS President Željka Cvijanović, Prime Minister Radovan Višković and the Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Milan Petković, Minister of Economy and Entrepreneurship Vjekoslav Petričević, Minister for Scientific Development, Higher Education and Information Society Srđan Rajčević. The members of the Republic of Srpska National Assembly, representatives of Srpska in BiH's joint institutions, together with numerous citizens of Doboj and the Heads of local communities in Republic of Srpska also joined in the celebrations.
