Tactical display exercise held on Jahorina

Police officers of the Special Anti-Terrorism Unit, Gendarmerie Unit of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of Interior, Gendarmerie Unit East Sarajevo and East Sarajevo Police Administration successfully realized an exercise to prevent the incursion of a terrorist group with the intention of carrying out a terrorist attack on the Olympic Centre "Jahorina".
Minister Lukač said that the Ministry of Interior held two parallel exercises today, on Jahorina and Mrkonjić Grad, and in this way demonstrated the equipment and training of all police units of the RS Ministry of Interior.
The Minister stated that the RS Police can deal with all challenges and can respond to any endangerment in Republic of Srpska.
He added that the activities undertaken during the exercise were carried out very successfully, indicating that law enforcement officers would act in the same way in actual situations that would require this type of engagement.
In the end, he congratulated all members who showed their knowledge during this successful exercise.
Four multifunctional armored vehicles "Despot" and helicopters of the Interior Ministry Helicopter Unit were also used during the exercise.
Today's exercise on Jahorina was attended by the Republic of Srpska Police Director Siniša Kostrešević, East Sarajevo Police Administration Head Branimir Šehovac, East Sarajevo Mayor Ljubisa Ćosić, municipality heads from the City of East Sarajevo, EUFOR representatives and others.
