About 180 cadets of the Police Academy are participating in the action of voluntary blood donation organized by the Republic of Srpska Ministry of Interior on the occasion of marking the Patron Saint of the Ministry, the Holy Archangel Michael.

This is the fourth blood donation action of the RS Ministry of Interior this year, which is organized with the goal of helping the RS Institute for Transfusion Medicine, whose blood supplies are limited due to the corona virus epidemic.

The cadets were visited at the Institute for Transfusion Medicine by the Minister of Interior of the Republic of Srpska, Dragan Lukač, the RS Police Director Siniša Kostrešević, and the Head of Administration for Police Training Mile Šikman.

"By donating blood, they will help all citizens of Republic of Srpska who need the most precious liquid." So far, over 1,000 members of the Ministry of the Interior have donated blood and in that way expressed their help to our citizens, "said Minister Lukac.

The director of the RS Institute for Transfusion Medicine, Gordana Guzijan, stated that numerous actions of donating blood have been organized with members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of Interior since the beginning of the coronary virus pandemic, whenever necessary.

Cadet of the Police Academy, Stefan Kostić, said that humanity is his main motive for donating blood.

"This is my first time donating blood and I want to help people with that. For the same reason, I enrolled in the Police Academy ", stated Kostić.
