Minister Lukač attends the 5th anniversary of the Faculty of Security Sciences

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, attended today in Banja Luka the Solemn Academy on occasion of marking the 5th anniversary of the Faculty of Security Sciences.
The Minister pointed out that the students of this Faculty represent the future of the Ministry of the Interior, and that the Ministry would continue cooperation with this academic institution.
Minister Lukač said that the University of Banja Luka students show the highest interest for studying at the Faculty of Security Sciences.
The Minister said that the students’ interest was several times higher than the number of students for enrolment and that he was confident the same interest would be continued in the future, since the students are interested in becoming the members of the Ministry of the Interior. The Minister reminded the public that 99% of the students can be employed with the Ministry after their graduation.
The University of Banja Luka Rector, Mr Radoslav Gajanin, also emphasised the students’ interest in enrolment at the Faculty of Security Sciences. He said that such interest was the result of activities of the Faculty management and the Ministry of the Interior support.
The Faculty Dean, Mr Predrag Ćeranić, pointed out that the situation in the beginning was difficult, but that they succeeded in their determination to become stronger, more organized and effective.
The Faculty of Security Sciences is the newest member of the University of Banja Luka. It was established after the transformation of the College of the Interior, which acted within the Ministry of the Interior, into a member of the University.
