MINISTER LUKAČ IN SRBAC

Today, in Srbac, the Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, visited Srbac PS, met with the head of the Municipality of Srbac, Mr Mlađan Dragosavljević, and saw the location intended for building new facilities of the police station.

After the meeting with Mr Dragosavljević, Minister Lukač said that building new facilities of the police station would improve the work conditions for police officers. He pointed out that the building lot would be provided by the municipality, the area of the facility would be 500m2, and that the building should start the following year.

Minister Lukač said that video surveillance functioned well on the territory of the Municipality of Srbac– 24 cameras had been installed on seven locations. He added that it was necessary for this system to be improved so that the security of citizens would be raised to a higher level. While discussing the security situation, Minister Lukač pointed out that there were no serious criminal offences committed on the territory of the Municipality, robberies nor vehicle thefts.

The head of the Municipality, Mr Dragosavljević, said that the urban regulatory plan of the municipality would be changed so that the lot could be awarded for the building of the police station, and that the Municipality would also meet other requirements in their competence for this purpose.

The meeting was also attended by the Republic of Srpska Minister of Finance, Ms Zora Vidović, who said that the funds for building the new modern police station would be provided from the Government budget.
