THE REPUBLIC OF SRPSKA STARTED THE CAMPAIGN ‘’STOP PEER VIOLENCE’’

In the period from November 14 to December 5, 2022, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior is organising the preventive campaign ‘’Stop Peer Violence’’, whose primary goal is to introduce school students of primary and secondary schools to the consequences of this phenomenon, as well as to raise awareness of the citizens on timely detection of these types of violence.
As part of this campaign, police officers will hold lectures for school students in primary and secondary schools in the Republic of Srpska since the rates of violence among children and young people in schools have been increasing.
One of the tasks of the "Stop Peer Violence" campaign is to improve communication and cooperation with school principals, educators, parents, and children themselves, in order to improve mutual trust, identify specific problems, and all with the aim of preventing the escalation of peer violence.
Within first ten months of this year, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior recorded 33 cases of peer violence in the territory of the Republic of Srpska
