MINISTER LUKAČ AND DIRECTOR KOSTREŠEVIĆ ORGANISED A RECEPTION FOR THE BRAVE POLICE OFFICERS

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Dragan Lukač, and Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, organised a traditional New Year’s reception for police officers who showed a high degree of professionalism and dedication in saving human lives throughout the year.
Minister Lukač said that the number of police officers who heroically risk their lives to save the citizens of Srpska increased annually.
"These people are the pride of the Ministry, they deserve to wear this uniform with pride," said Minister Lukač, congratulating the police officers on the sacrifice they showed.
Director Kostrešević extended his congratulations to 21 police officers on their dedication and courage, and emphasised that that there were police officers within the Ministry of the Interior who also showed a high degree of professionalism and sacrifice throughout the year, but did not attend the reception today.
A police officer of the Gradiška Police Admiration, Mr Bratislav Zagorac, said that on December 7, 2022, he and his colleagues acted on a report that a person was missing. While searching the area, between the embankment and the Sava River, they found a person lying unconscious in the mud. He stated that they provided the first aid to the person until the arrival of emergency service.
A police officer within the Gendarmerie Unit of the Istočno Sarajevo Police Administration, Mr Nemanja Žuža, said that on January 22, 2022, he and his colleagues evacuated the residents from the building affected by the fire, and prevented more serious consequences.
On this New Year’s reception, letters of appreciation were awarded to police officers, as follows:
1. Istočno Sarajevo Police Administration: Mr Nemanja Žuža, Mr Vukadin Milošević, and Mr Simeun Vujadinović;
2. Gradiška Police Administration: Mr Slaviša Kojić, Mr Bratislav Zagorac, and Mr Aleksandar Petrović;
3. Foča Police Administration: Mr Mladen Milanović, and Duško Maksimović;
4. Prijedor Police Administration: Mr Predrag Macura;
5. Doboj Police Administration: Mr Nemanja Perić, Mr Milanko Lazendić, Mr Nemanja Jović, Mr Vladan Nedinić, and Mr Dalibor Krečar;
6. Bijeljina Police Administration: Mr Milan Ivanić, Mr Boško Radović, and Mr Marko Luledžija;
7. Trebinje Police Administration: Mr Milan Nikolić, Mr Vidak Aleksić, and Mr Nikola Berdović;
8. Zvornik Police Administration: Mr Predrag Petrović.
