The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, held a meeting today in Banja Luka with His Excellency, Mr Kalle Kankaanpää, the Ambassador of Finland to BiH, and His Excellency, Mr Vesa Häkkinen, the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Finland to the OSCE in Vienna, where they discussed the priorities of the work of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, as well as in the areas of cooperation between the Ministry and OSCE, such as theStrategy for Small Arms and Light Weapons Control in Bosnia and Herzegovina (SALW) and the fight against terrorism.
Minister Karan emphasised that the efficient police cooperation at both regional and international level was essential for improved and effective fight against terrorism.
Representatives of the Finish diplomatic mission praised the cooperation with the Administration for Police Training, especially on the Domestic Violence Prevention Project.
