A MERCEDES FOUND, PREVIOUSLY STOLEN IN ZAGREB, CROATIA

In Boškovići, near Laktaši, the police officers of the Administration for organized and serious crime of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, in cooperation with the members of Banjaluka Police Administration, found a vehicle, brand ‘Mercedes-Benz’, type AMG GT R, white colour, convertible, whose estimated value is over €200,000. This vehicle was stolen in the period from 11 February 2023 to 21 February 2023 by one or several unknown persons on the territory of Zagreb, the Republic of Croatia.

Through international operational police cooperation, the Administration for organized and serious crime of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior received a request of the Republic of Croatia Ministry of the Interior to undertake activities to find this vehicle. Through intense operational activities and mutual exchange of relevant information and mutual exchange of relevant information obtained by the police officers of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior, FBIH Police Administration, Border Police of BIH, the Republic of Croatia Ministry of the Interior, and with operational support of EUROPOL, it was confirmed that one or several unknown persons stole the vehicle, avoided the measures of border control and smuggled the vehicle from Croatia to BIH, and that it was finally hidden on a location known to at least two persons in Boškovići, the municipality of Laktaši.

Last night, on 8 March 2023, in Boškovići, the police officers of the Administration for organized and serious crime and Banja Luka PA, performed searches on the aforementioned locations and arrested an M.Ć. and an A.M. On that occasion, in addition to the stolen Mercedes, another vehicle was seized – a ‘BMW X5’.

Work on documenting the criminal offence of ‘Aggravated theft’ from Article 226, paragraph 3 of the Republic of Srpska Criminal Code is in progress, and all the activities are undertaken under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Banjaluka.
