The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, and the Republic of Srpska Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, visited the Institute for Transfusion Medicine of the Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka, where members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior voluntarily donated blood to mark the April 4th - the Republic of Srpska Police Day.
According to Minister Karan, one of many duties of members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior was also the possibility of helping others, as evidenced by the current voluntary blood donation campaign in which 722 members of the Ministry and 237 cadets of Police Academy would participate.
"The key motivation of those who work within the police is the need and desire to help others, and this is perhaps more evident among our members than in other citizens," said Minister Karan. He expressed his gratitude to all members of the MoI who responded to voluntary blood donation activity, as well as the Institute for Transfusion Medicine for cooperation.
Director of the Republic of Srpska Institute for Transfusion Medicine, doctor Gordana Guzijan, congratulated to all members of the Ministry of the Interior on the upcoming Police Day, and especially to voluntary blood donors, and stated that this year there was an impressive number of them. She emphasised that the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior was an institution that the Institute could rely on in order to maintain a stable blood supply and that members of the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior always respond to their call for assistance.
The voluntary blood donation campaign is organized throughout the territory of the Republic of Srpska.
