Visit of participants of the Higher Security and Defence Studies of the Republic of Serbia

The Republic of Srpska Minister of the Interior, Mr Siniša Karan, and the Police Director, Mr Siniša Kostrešević, hosted today members of the 12th class of the Higher Security and Defence Studies of the Republic of Serbia, who are staying in a two-day visit to the Republic of Srpska and its institutions.

Minister Karan informed the members of the 12th class of the Higher Security and Defence Studies about the security challenges faced by the Republic of Srpska and the Ministry.

At the meeting, they emphasised the effective cooperation between the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior and the Military Academy in Belgrade, where eight cadets of the Republic of Srpska MoI are currently being trained.

As part of their visit to the Ministry of the Interior, members of the Higher Security and Defence Studies visited the Zalužani Training Centre, where they toured all the organisational units located within the Centre.

Members of the 12th class, which had fifteen participants, consisted of generals and officers of the Republic of Serbia Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, representatives of ministries and government institutions, representatives of the Armed Forces of BiH, representatives of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Serbia and Republic of Srpska, Security-Intelligence Agency, and the Serbian Orthodox Church.

For the first time, the Republic of Srpska Ministry of the Interior has its representative at the Higher Security and Defence Studies, and that is the Head of the Administration for the Protecting Persons and Facilities, Mr Borislav Šarić.
